A return trip to Flat Rock Speedway marked the longest race of the season and the 3rd race of the Sweet Mfg. Outlaw Late Model Series. A disappointing qualifying performance ended up working out in the teams favor, by hitting the inversion. Justin led the first 50 or so laps prior to the handling going away and fading back slightly to finish a still respectable 6th. Next up is the $10,000 to win Summer Sizzler at New Paris Speedway on Thursday, August 3rd. This event is also the 4th event in the Sweet Series.

The Claucherty Racing team battled motor issues for most of the day at the Birch Run Speedway (formerly Dixie Motor Speedway). The lack of power resulted in Justin qualifying a disappointing 9th, after being in the top 3 in practice. At the start of the race, it was clear that the car was running on 7 cylinders at best. Despite being severely under powered at the fast .4 mile track, Justin was able to move up to 5th from his 9th place starting position. It was actually a suspension piece breaking under caution, that resulted in the 2nd DNF of the season. The resulting motor damages kept the team from being able to run the following night at Owosso Speedway. After a motor swap, next up is the Stan Yee Memorial 150 at Flat Rock Speedway. This prestigious event is also the 3rd event of the Sweet Manufacturing Outlaw Late Model Series, where Justin is currently 3rd in the point standings.
The team was eager for a return to the Springport Mid-Michigan Speedway, after grabbing the victory in the last trip there. Things didn't go as smooth this time, as a blown power steering line in qualifying led to just having to start the feature at the tail of the 25 car field. After repairs and a lengthy rain delay, Justin was able to carve his way through the field and bring home a 2nd place finish. Next up is the Lee Anderson Memorial at Berlin Raceway on Saturday, July 8th. This event will be the 2nd race of the 6 race Sweet Manufacturing Outlaw Late Model Series.
