Justin came into the 16th annual $10,000 to win Summer Sizzler at New Paris Speedway, sitting a close 3rd in the Sweet Mfg. Outlaw Late Model Series points. Despite not running the event in the last 6 years and not being able to attend the practice day, Justin qualified a respectable 10th out of the 30 cars that showed up to qualify for the prestigious race. After a good start, Justin was cruising in 6th when the motor dropped a valve. Since that was the backup motor, the team will be out of action until the primary motor is back up and running. This means that the team will not be at the Kalamazoo Klash, which is the 5th event of the Sweet Series. Stay tuned to the website to see when we will be able to get back to the track.
Lots of tarp folding and unfolding on a late and rainy night at the New Paris Speedway. The rain certainly didn't extinguish the fireworks on the track.
