The 2021 season kicked off at Corrigan Oil Speedway in Mason, MI. Full grandstands and full field of cars welcomed Super Late Models back after an 8 year hiatus. After troubles in the heat race, Justin started the 50 lap feature way back in the 21st position, but was able to move his way up to bring home a respectable 7th place finish.

Justin started the SCCA National Championship race at Road America in the 15th position after mechanical issues on pole qualifying day. Justin was able to battle his way up and bring home a solid 5th place finish in the star-studded 60 car field. Be sure the watch the race broadcast and Justin's in car video on YouTube.
58 cars showed up for the Cat Majors at Road America for a chance to prep for the prestigious National Championship Runoffs, to be held at the facility in early October. Justin was able to get in a solid 4th place qualifying effort in the stout field, and followed it up with a 6th place finish in Saturday's race. Sunday's race had Justin rolling off the grid in the 3rd position. After losing a couple of spots early, Justin was able to work his way back into 3rd place. On the final lap, the leaders got together battling for position and Justin lost some spots avoiding the wreckage. The ensuing full course caution flew with Justin in the 6th position and the race ended under yellow.
Justin planned to run the Outlaw Late Model at Owosso Speedway on July 25th. The decision was made not to run after learning that the race will be on D800 tires and without radios, as opposed to slicks and radios as originally planned.
After qualifying 3rd, Justin fell back to 5th at the start of Saturday's race. After clawing his way back to 2nd, he came up .20 shy of the win to Bobby Sak. Sundays race began with Justin starting 2nd but falling back to 3rd. Justin was able to get back to 2nd place and gained ground on the leader before running out of time and getting thwarted in lap traffic. Congrats to Bobby Sak on the weekend sweep.
After a respectable 4th place qualifying effort against a stout field Justin started the feature 9th with the invert. After quickly moving up to 5th early on, Justin was just cruising until an overly optimistic move by a fellow opponent in lap traffic knocked the alignment out. After initially dropping back to 12th, Justin was able to work his way back up to finish 8th with a wounded car.
Justin made his first ever trip to the prestigious June Sprints at Road America in Elkart Lake, Wisconsin. Just shy of 70 cars showed up in preparation for this year's SCCA National Championship Runoffs to be held at the same venue. Justin qualified a respectable 14th and finished 13th in Saturday's sprint race. For Sunday's race Justin started 16th and finished 13th. The team learned a few things and is looking forward to returning and continuing to get faster.
The Claucherty Racing team made the long journey down to the greater St. Louis area to finally kick off the season at the SCCA Hoosier Super Tour Event at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway. Justin qualified 2nd for Saturday's event and brought home a 2nd place finish in the race after hounding the eventual winner and local favorite for most of the race. Sunday brought another 2nd place qualifying effort. The race started eventful as a 4 wide battle for the lead into turn 1 ensued. Justin came out of the scrum in first place and led early until the 3 cars behind him drafted past, relegating him to 4th. Justin was able to work his way back to 3rd and appeared to be in position to challenge for 2nd, when lap traffic in a local yellow halted his chances. Another podium finish of 3rd provided an overall solid start to the season against a stout field of 21 cars. Next up is the SCCA Hoosier Super Tour event at the Road America June Sprints, where a whopping 82 SRF3's are entered.
The Claucherty Racing Team dropped in the old trusty backup motor to run the Joy Fair Memorial at Flat Rock Speedway. Justin clocked in the 5th fastest time in qualifying and was scheduled to start the race on the pole after a 5 car invert. However, a questionable ruling by tech officials in regards to the body specifications, resulted in Justin being relegated to start the 100 lap feature event from the last position. Against a stout field of cars Justin was able to work his way up to finish 5th, despite there only being one early caution flag to aid his progress.
